Morocco is an enticing mixture of east meets west. Offering year-round sunshine, ancient medinas, cosmopolitan cities, sandy beaches, barren deserts, impressive mountain ranges, rich cultural heritage and tasty cuisine, this North African gem has something for every adventure seeker. It is a must-visit destination for any photographer. But don’t just take our word for it. Check out what Marie had to say when she joined us and Dublin Photography School (DPS) in October 2018.

Making memories in Morocco....

“We arrived at Marrakesh airport in the afternoon and met our DPS tutors, Stewart and Steven, and our local TD active guide Ibrahim. We were driven to our riad accommodation and settled in.  After dinner, we were introduced to the bustling, crazy, colourful markets in Marrakesh, where there were lots of street and night photography opportunities.”

“The next morning we travelled into the Agafy Desert, where we were served mint tea in a Bedouin camp."Here we had plenty of photo opportunities with the local shepherds and camel drivers in the arid terrain."

"Afterwards we were taken to the Atlas Mountain village of Imill where we had dinner and a night of traditional music and dance.”

“The next day we went on to Essaouira, stopping along the way to visit the local farmers market. It was quite an experience! During the sunset shoot on Essouria beach we were treated to the amazing sight of the camel train....."

“After dinner, we were out with the cameras again through the maze of streets and alleyways of the Medina for more night-time shots.”

“A sunrise shoot found us at the busy local fishing port amid a frenzy of returning fish filled boats, screaming seagulls and the early morning workers going about their business.”

“On the return journey to Marrakesh we made a tour of an Argan oil making factory, we learnt how the oil is extracted from the Argan nut and processed”

“We then visited the famous tree-climbing goats. “I enjoyed every moment of the fantastic TD active and DPS photography tour. Stewart and Steven whilst always giving expert tuition also made it a fun-filled laugh a minute experience for our group. The local TD active guide Ibrahim was friendly, helpful and always smiling. It all made this holiday an unforgettable experience for me. I would highly recommend this holiday, whatever your photography skills are, as it caters for all.
